AARON’S EXPERIENCE

Why I brought more
of the work in-house.

I previously used agencies for The Conscious Self. I felt I was spending too much for the return I was seeing. I now manage more of the work directly, with a lower advertising budget and a more consistent approach to reviewing the campaigns.

The figures below describe the exported reporting periods. The precise agency handover date and management fees have not been verified, so these periods are not labelled as a controlled agency-versus-in-house test.

WHAT THE EXPORTS SHOW

Comparing spend with reported purchases

October retained around 87% of September’s daily reported purchase activity on 36% of the daily ad spend. Daily averages make the different reporting lengths comparable.

The useful outcome is advertising efficiency: average daily spend fell from £50.52 to £18.38, while daily reported purchase events moved from 3.23 to 2.81. Purchase activity was around 13% lower on around 64% less daily spend. These platform figures do not establish revenue, profit or a return on investment.

THE OCTOBER SNAPSHOT

The three October weeks

The exports record £126.08 of spend and 20 purchase-result events for 1–7 October; £131.13 and 16 events for 8–14 October; and £128.86 and 23 events for 15–21 October.

Reported purchases continued in all three October weeks, alongside the smaller spend. This shows ongoing activity across the measured window. Your own offer, audience and tracking determine which measures and results matter for your business.

From advertising to the website.

Ad-level totals match the separate ad-set export for the same dates. These are the same activity viewed two ways, counted once. Page views can include repeat visits; purchase events use Meta attribution and are not verified unique bookings or revenue. This is a separate snapshot from the September–October comparison above.

How we checked the figures.

  • September uses the 1–30 September ad-set export, cross-checked against its age and gender breakdown.
  • October uses the 1–7 October ad export and the daily 8–21 October ad export. The latter was cross-checked against the matching ad-set export.
  • Ad, ad-set and campaign views were not added together. Overlapping date windows were not added together.
  • Purchase-result events are counted only where Meta’s result indicator identifies a pixel purchase. Different attribution settings appear in the exports.
  • Daily spend is total spend divided by reporting days. Spend per reported event is total spend divided by the reported purchase-event count.
  • Agency fees, software costs, staff time, refunds and verified booking revenue are not included. The exports do not establish an exact £500 monthly budget-change date.

The exports use click and view attribution windows. Meta’s reported purchase events are not a deduplicated booking ledger. Differences in offers, event dates, seasonality, tracking and attribution can affect the comparison. No causal improvement or independently audited revenue claim is made.
